Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
DoseCircle ("we", "us") is a medication reminder and logging app that lets caregivers share a medication schedule. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how you can delete it. Questions or requests: quicksupport36@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address (typed in, or provided by Apple or Google when you use their sign-in — Apple may give us a private relay address), and your name if Apple or Google shares it. We also store your time zone and, if you allow notifications, a push-notification token for your device.
- Care circle data you enter: circle names, who belongs to a circle, medication names, doses, instructions, schedules, when each dose was marked taken, skipped or missed and by whom, and the activity history of your circle. This can be health-related information. We use it only to run the app for you and the people you invite.
- Medication label photos: if you use the label scanner, the photo is sent to read the text on it. It is processed to fill in the form and is not stored by us.
- Purchase status: whether your circle has the paid Family plan. Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
We do not sell your data, do not show ads, and do not use it to track you across other apps or websites. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. To improve the app we record basic, anonymous usage events in our own database (for example which screens and buttons are used, and whether a purchase succeeded). These carry a random device identifier and, when you are signed in, your account ID, but never medication names, notes, or other content you enter. Deleting your account unlinks these events from you.
Who handles it for us
- Supabase — hosts our database and sign-in.
- Cloudflare — reads medication label photos (Workers AI) and hosts this website.
- Expo, Apple and Google — deliver push notifications (they see the notification text and your device token).
- RevenueCat, Apple and Google — process and record subscriptions.
- Apple and Google — if you choose their sign-in.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. Servers may be located outside your country.
Who can see your circle's data
Only the members of a circle you belong to can see that circle's medications and history. If you invite someone, they see the same schedule and history you do.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Account → Delete account. Circles where you are the only member are deleted entirely. In circles shared with others, your medication and history entries stay for the remaining members, but are no longer linked to you, and ownership passes to another member. You can also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you have legal rights to do so, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Our legal basis for processing in the EU/UK is providing the service you asked for (contract) and, for optional features such as notifications, your consent.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted so that each circle's data is visible only to its members. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a device passcode.
Children
DoseCircle is not directed to children under 13 (16 in the EU) and we do not knowingly collect their data. Caregivers may log medications for a child in their care; that entry is made by the adult.
Not medical advice
DoseCircle is a reminder and logging tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always consult a healthcare professional about your medications.
Changes
If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
